Water Hook Up
Water service must be done in person at 1200 Locust Ave. The public works office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00. There is a one-time connection fee, based on the size of your meter, average fee is $113.00. After 12 months, without a delinquent payment, the deposit is refundable.
Included in your monthly water bill are your sewer and sanitation city fees.

Mail
Pick up a change of address form at the Post Office, located at 526 East Spring Street.
Motor Vehicle registration and Driver’s License
The Cooper County Motor Vehicle department is located at 406 Spring Street. Their hours of operation are M-F 7:30-5 and the last Saturday of the month 8:30- 11.
Within 30 days of establishing residency, you need to apply for your Missouri vehicle registration. Registration tags are available at the Motor Vehicle Department and can be purchased for one or two years. Be sure to provide current insurance information, vehicle safety inspection passage, and property tax assessment. The Property Tax assessment is available at the Cooper County Assessor’s office, located 200 Main Street, room 22. Fees are bases on type and size of car. The vehicle safety inspection must be done at an authorized inspection station.
Driver’s License’s are also available at the Motor Vehicle Department. New residents must pass a vision exam, provide proof of new residence, and provide a current (or expired less than 184 days) out of state license. The fee for a driver’s license is $22.50/ six years.
Garbage Pick up
Garbage is picked up weekly by Veolia Environmental Services. Yard waste is picked up every Monday. Recycling aluminum and newsprint is available at the transfer station, 690 Al Berstad Drive. Additional recycling office paper, cardboard, and some electronic waste is available at Unlimited Opportunities, 1620 Ashley Road.

Voter registration is available at the County court house, 200 Main Street, room 23, at the motor vehicle department, 406 Spring Street, or by requesting

that a postcard be sent to you.
Housing
The average sale price for homes in Boonville is $96, 911 (2008). The average price of a vacant lot in the city is $21, 750. The average price/square foot for new construction is $125.00.

There are a number of cell phone carriers that serve the Boonville area, including: US Cellular, Verizon, T-Mobile, Nextel, Sprint PCS, and AT&T.
