The IDA works to attract industrial development and economic expansion in Boonville. The IDA is a 10 member board; one of those members is a non-voting council representative. Members are appointed for 6 year terms by the mayor.
The IDA solicits and promotes economic development projects in a variety of ways. Additionally, the IDA is empowered to issue bonds paying for any part of a development project. Finally, the IDA can also serve as a sounding board for potential development projects and assist in any planning.
