City Council

The Boonville city council is vested with the legislative authority of city government and sets city policy by passing ordinances and resolutions. The Council creates a vision for Boonville's future by guiding its operations and strategic planning. The Council approves the city budget, generally oversees the city functions, confirms nominations to Boards and Commissions, takes action on recommendations from the Boards, and appoints the city administrator.

The City Council meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 7pm.

The Council is comprised of eight council members, two from each ward. Council members are elected to serve a 2 year term.
